About OMID Organization
The Organization for Management, Initiatives and Development (OMID) is a national, non-governmental, non-profit, and non-political organization established in 2007 by a group of Afghan multi-disciplinary professionals. OMID’s mission is to serve vulnerable and marginalized populations across Afghanistan through sustainable, community-driven development and humanitarian programs.
OMID works to strengthen the technical skills and capacities of local communities through multi-sectoral interventions that promote poverty reduction, self-sufficiency, social justice, and community stability throughout the country.
Job Summary
The Male Protection Officer (Livelihood), with the support of the female Protection Officer, will be responsible for the overall implementation, management, coordination, and reporting of the Protection Project (livelihood section) for returnees, IDPs, and host communities in Jalalabad City, Nangarhar Province.
The position requires a strong technical background in agriculture and livelihoods, as well as proven experience in community mobilization and protection programming, to ensure effective project delivery in line with donor requirements and OMID’s operational standards.
The incumbent will lead livelihood-related activities in vegetable production, livestock management, poultry farming, and technical trainings, and serve as the main liaison between target communities, provincial line departments, and OMID’s regional office in Jalalabad.
