RAADA (Rehabilitation Association and Agriculture Development for Afghanistan) is an Afghan NGO dedicated to improving the lives of rural communities through sustainable agriculture, food security, and rehabilitation initiatives. With decades of experience working in the western region of Afghanistan, RAADA has been instrumental in empowering farmers, rebuilding livelihoods, and providing humanitarian aid to vulnerable populations across Afghanistan. RAADA’s expertise in agriculture, livestock, and community development has made it one of the leading NGOs in addressing the challenges faced by rural communities, particularly in the western region of Afghanistan.
Vento di Terra (VDT) is an Italian NGO renowned for its commitment to human rights, social justice, and sustainable development. In Afghanistan, Vento di Terra has focused on building resilient communities through agriculture, livestock, and disaster risk management. Together, RAADA and Vento di Terra have joined forces to implement the Emergency Project for Earthquake-Affected People in Dara-e-Noor District of Nanagarhar Province and Sawkai District of Kunar Province, funded by AICS. This collaborative initiative aims to support vulnerable families in Dara-e-Noor District of Nanagarhar Province and Sawkai District of Kunar Province by enhancing food security, promoting sustainable agriculture and livestock practices, and strengthening community resilience to natural disasters. Through this project, the two organizations bring complementary expertise to create lasting change for the people of Nanagarhar & Kunar.
