Job Summary
The midwife will offer the Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn and Child Health services including Antenatal care, Postnatal care, Family planning and delivery services to pregnant and lactating women attending the health facility. In addition, she will be responsible to provide health education on reproductive health to pregnant and lactating women during them to health facility.
Duties & Responsibilities
- The midwife will provide the Antenatal care services to pregnant and lactating women attending the health facility in accordance with MopH guidelines.
- The midwife will provide the Postnatal care services to pregnant and lactating women attending the health facility.
- She will provide the health education to pregnant and lactating women on reproductive health and maternal nutrition
- To provide the family planning services to women
- To carry out the normal delivery in health facility and refer the complicated delivery cases to nearby health facility
- To advise micro-nutrient and folic acid to childbearing age women attending the health facility
- To set the target of ANC, PNC, Family planning and delivery of the health facility considering the catchment area population of the health facility.
- To main the registration of ANC, PNC, FP and delivery in their registers accordingly
- To provide monthly reports of their interventions on regular bases and submit to the health facility InCharge for further compilation.
- To have good coordination with family health action groups
- To impart trainings to family health action groups when required
- To maintain the record of referral cases.
- To respect the Tdh policy and procedures during working hours.
- To participate in health facility level meetings and forums.
- To participate in the trainings organized by Tdh and other stakeholders.
