To contribute to the reduction of morbidity and mortality associated with malnutrition, diseases and hazards resulting from inadequate (or non-existent) health and nutrition services, environmental health conditions and protective environment in conflict-affected communities Kunar and Nangarhar Province - Afghanistan
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide urgent medical care to patients under critical conditions during transport.
- Perform life-saving interventions and administer necessary medications.
- Quickly assess patient condition upon arrival and throughout transport, adjusting care as necessary.
- Liaise with Emergency Room staff in providing comprehensive patient reports and handovers.
- Maintain ambulance equipment and supplies to be always ready for emergencies.
Documentation and Record Keeping:
- Ensure the prompt, legible and accurate completion of all patient and incident records, providing a full and accurate record of decision making in accordance with the Caldecott principles, current legislation and regulatory framework.
- Ensure the sharing of information is always done in compliance with information governance procedures.
Qualifications, Skills and Competencies
Candidates should have specialty in Emergency Care. Excellent command of emergency medical protocols, strong decision-making skills, capability to function in high-stress situations, and superior patient care abilities is a must. Proficiency in the use of medical equipment and instruments necessary for administering patient care is also required.
